Google stiehlt die Krone der besten und innovativsten Unternehmen von Apple
Der größte Innovator in der Welt ist Google – und nicht Apple, das sagte kein geringerer als Walter Isaacson, Autor der Bestseller-Biographie “Steve Jobs.”
So sprach er in der Fernsehsendung “Squawk Box” auf CNBC am Mittwoch. Das Google Nest Labs kaufte ist eine größere Entwicklung als die China Mobile-Partnerschaft von Apple, Das sein zwar ein “Big Deal” für Apple, sagte Walter Isaacson, aber Googles Einkauf von Nest ist ein Beispiel für die “amazingly strong integrated strategy that Google has to connect all of our devices, all of our lives, from our car, to our navigation system, to how our garage doors are going to open.” Das Nest Portfolio an intelligenten Thermostaten und Branddetektoren passt perfekt zu Google und zur bisherigen Einkaufsstrategie an Robotertechnologie, selbstfahrenden Autos und Google Glass.
Isaacson wies auch darauf hin, dass Nest Mitbegründer und CEO Tony Fadell Google weiterhin erhalten bleibt, als Teil des Deals. “Fadell was one of the team that created the iPod. He was very deep into the Apple culture … when Apple was so innovative.”
Um mit Google mithalten zu können sollte sich Cock seinen nächsten Einkauf gut überöegen, und weiter sagte Isaacson . “I think Steve Jobs would have wanted as the next disruptive thing to either have wearable-like watches or TV, an easy TV that you can walk into the room and say put on ‘Squawk Box’ … or disrupt the digital camera industry or disrupt textbooks.”
